'First trip to Colonsay. Lovely island. We cycled all over on our bikes discovering all the beaches. Would recommend The Pantry for eating out. Lovely food and friendly staff. Met up with all the local musicians for a session in the hotel. Great fun. We must come back some time!

'Cuckoos +++ and skylarks calling outside the front door - such amazing wildlife, views, sand between the toes, solitude, people waving as you pass them on the road, sheep outside the kitchen window, unusual flowers - just so much. 'We have just had the most fabulous week on Colonsay staying at the delightful little place known as Phoebe Lodge. Everything is there for you to enjoy, TV should you want to watch it (we never had time!), cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, a full bathroom, beautiful light and airy living area and a bedroom upstairs to accommodate three people. Fabulous views of the hillsides from the windows with sheep on the hills popping down to peer at you! Table and chairs outside and just a hop and a skip to the bar or the restaurant next door. Fabulously situated with walks right from the door, a mere 500 metres from the ferry, so accessible.
It was our second time on Colonsay and we chose Phoebe Lodge yet again. It's just perfect! We were sad to leave on Sunday because we had been so comfortable there, hopefully we will be back again to this fabulous island and our fabulous little bolthole on it Xx.

'We just had the most amazing week in Colonsay at the wonderful cosy Phoebe Lodge. It really was a home from home, every need had been catered for, thank you Jenny. The bottle of wine and biscuits were truly welcoming. The weather could have been kinder to us but on the rainy days Phoebe was a lovely place to return to and hunker down. I particularly liked the views from the windows of the hillsides and the sheep watching! The bed was so comfortable and the whole place was so peaceful and calming. Easy access from the ferry, just a few hundred yards, great walks from the doorstep, who could want for more? We intend to come back again please, we loved Phoebe Lodge. xx'
